Kim teaches piano to students of all ages and skill levels at her centrally-located Tacoma studio. Lessons are scheduled once weekly, with the lesson length determined on a case-by-case basis as appropriate for the age and level of the student. Contact her to discuss the possibility of joining her studio!
Kim does not use one particular method, but rather takes an individualized approach to each student, taking into account age and level. She loves to challenge students to their full capacity, and works to develop well-rounded musicians who have an understanding of theory and history, strong reading skills, and the ability to collaborate with other musicians as well as perform as soloists. Recital and competition opportunities are provided as appropriate, from performances in her studio to other venues in the region.
Kim also teaches a range of music courses at the University of Washington, Tacoma and University of Puget Sound.
